Autochek, a company that specializes in automotive technology, has opened a new division to help people and businesses in Africa finance cars.
Autochek Financial Services will maintain its support for the Autochek Marketplace platform. The company’s headquarters are in Johannesburg, South Africa. To facilitate auto financing for customers, the platform collaborates with local car dealerships and other service providers.

Automobile retailers, banks, and other organizations throughout Africa that play a role in the continent’s automotive ecosystem will get help from the company under the direction of CEO Johan van der Merwe. It will try to boost areas like product creation, pricing, and portfolio management to better serve customers.
More than 80,000 people from nine countries in North, West, and East Africa have applied for auto loans via Autochek since the company first opened in 2020. Over 70 banks and 2,000 car lots have collaborated with it.

Autochek’s goal is to “empower more Africans with seamless access to auto finance,” as stated by Etop Ikpe, group CEO and co-founder. The company plans to “provide additional solutions to bridge the cost gap and make it simpler for more Africans to acquire the automobiles they desire,” he added.
Johan van der Merwe elaborates, “I firmly believe that we can construct the infrastructure to make this happen, and I see a big potential to produce shared value for consumers, manufacturers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders by releasing finance.”

I’m excited to work with Etop and the team to provide even greater success and expansion throughout the continent’s automotive industry, because “they’ve done a lot of fantastic work to create the success Autochek has seen so far.”Autochek, a company that specializes in automotive technology, has opened a new division to help people and businesses in Africa finance cars.
