GOMYCODE launches Hackerspace.
GOMYCODE Nigeria, Africa’s premier edtech platform, has launched its first hackerspace in Lagos.
You can find the newest hackerspace in Alagomeji-Yaba at 230 Herbert Macaulay. The new GOMYCODE hackerspace is five times as large as the old one, with space for up to 600 people over its five levels (the former hackerspace had enough for 120 people at once).
GOMYCODE has taken the learning experience of its pupils to a whole new level by devoting three stories to classrooms. For the benefit of learning, each classroom has been outfitted with state-of-the-art fibre optics and modern, comfortable furniture. To help students maintain a healthy work-life balance, the new hackerspace has a chill-out space where they may continue working on their ideas or just relax. A large number of student parking spots are available in a nearby garage, making it much simpler for them to go to the building whenever they need to.
Educational advisers will move into the second level of the hackerspace, where they will have greater space to greet, inform, assist, and support existing and potential students.
Last but not least, the venue’s versatility is bolstered by a spacious conference room with enough for 200 attendees to congregate for speeches and conferences.
This action shows our serious interest in the Nigerian market. While we do provide trainings through our virtual “hackerspace,” as General Manager of GOMYCODE Nigeria Babatunde Olaifa puts it, “we know from research and our own experience that students prefer in person sessions, and what we do is guarantee that these lessons take place in the finest available settings.”
